NORA Pregnancy Tea

NORA tea is an herbal tea that contains nettles, oatstraw, red raspberry leaf and alfalfa (hence the name, NORA). It is full of beneficial vitamins and minerals and is highly recommended for pregnancy but can also combat painful periods, PMS, endometriosis, and PCOS. It’s also great to drink postpartum to help restore your body.

Midwives recommend that you start drinking this tea beginning at 16 weeks.


Benefits of NORA Tea include:

  • Guards against anemia

  • Maximizes the health of the liver

  • Lowers the risk of possible complications during the birth by helping to promote proper contractibility of the uterus and release of the placenta (which helps prevent hemorrhage)

  • Reduces tears and the degree of them

The key to getting the maximum benefit to NORA tea is to let it brew for at least 8 hours. Typically I will prep mine before I head to bed and let it sit overnight. By morning, it’s ready to drink! I try to drink as much of it as possible throughout the day. The more the better, but it’s recommended to drink a quart daily, or at least a quart 4 times a week.
